The Original Plans For Knickerbocker Village: 1931

kv-plans-1931 I always wondered why there was an empty lot on the corner of Henry and Market in 1930 photos. It remained empty for a long time. According to Bob Wilson there is a photo of Al Smith breaking ground for Knickerbocker at this site. Bob posed the question, "How did those lots go back from French's hands to others?"

March 17, 2009: Live From Knickerbocker Village

I visited KV on Tuesday to meet with long time resident and tenant committee veteran, Bob Wilson. We were going to discuss the possibility of an on-site KV Museum using some of the pictures I've been archiving. Bob is on the right in the picture above and Sal Barone is in the top picture. I soon discovered on that day that Sal Barone would become the video version of Cliff's KV Notes.
