For many years Marvin and Jerry Kuperstein were my best friends growing up in Knickerbocker Village. Marvin is now a grandpa and the Executive Director of the Jewish Family & Child Services in Portland and Jerry is a veteran customs' agent in Manhattan as well as a notorious gigolo (the mustache is a dead giveaway). Marvin's lovely wife, Laura took the picture (after several failed attempts). We met at Knickerbocker Village on July 6th and reminisced. Their older brother, Harvey (a former Fulbright scholar) was a no-show. I would guess that I hadn't seen them in 30 years. The magic of the internet brought us together. One story thread was about the twins' summering in Lake Mohegan in the mid to late 50's and early 60's. Years later my wife (those were the days she liked me) and I would coincidentally frequent the same spot. Here's part of the dialogue with some accompanying photos
Below a slide show built around a special request by Marv's wife Laura
