A 1905 photo of JHS 65 on Eldridge Street(then just PS 65) between Canal and Hester. This was the closest public JHS to KVers and it's where must of my friends went to. I went with a smaller group to JHS 12. 
Allan Silverstein supplied the photo on the left of a group of budding writers who attended there in the early 60's. The building has since been torn down and replaced by JHS 131.

Wow. Found this picture recently, those who remember me will recognize my name, Paul Medina from the nearby Smith houses.

It was IS 131, now MS 131.
