The Libby Hotel was previously mentioned in two posts in September, one was a nytimes article in 1929 about its inevitable demolition due to the never to be completed Forsyth Chrystie Project. The other was about the possible link of the shady dealings surrounding the Libby and the Judge Crater Mystery. The latter blogpost links to an article in the Spring 2009 issue of the Pakn Treger entitled
Ritz with a Shvitz, by Shulamith Berger and Jai Zion. Confused? I am. Anyway that indentation in the sidewalk on Chrystie and Delancey may be the spot where an intact room from the Libby might be.
