KVers Survive Ike

Hey let's lift a glass to celebrate the Venturato's surviving Ike's destruction. An email from Larry:
I just got electrical power back. It was a wild ride Friday night. I came out of it O.K. No damage to my home, but Houston is torn up. Trees uprooted, debris, collapsed structures, and broken glass everywhere. I'm sure you saw it all on TV. I can't believe that anyone who stayed on Galveston Island got out in one piece.

The Venturatos are both engineers living in Houston
From Anthony's bio:
Mr. Venturato has a 40-year career in the rail transportation industry and is an accomplished program manager. As a vice president of STV, he has managed major starter line rail projects throughout the country, such as the highly successful Houston METRORail, the Dallas DART system, and Portland's MAX. Prior to joining the firm 12 years ago, he had held high-level project management positions for a number of rail transit agencies, such as Dallas Area Rapid Transit, Tri-County Metropolitan Transit District, Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, and Bay Area Rapid Transit. Tony has also held key positions on notable projects, such as the English Channel Tunnel Project.

As for Larry, from his lifelong pal Joe Bruno:
LARRY VENTURATO GRADUATED FROM LASALLE ACADEMY AND MANHATTAN UNIVERSITY AND WAS VALEDICTORIAN OF HIS GRADUATING CLASS BOTH TIMES. LARRY IS NOW AN ELECTRICAL ENGINEER FOR THE HOUSTON TRANSIT AUTHORITY.

Larry I went to LaSalle Academy with you from '62 -'66. Just wondering how some of our friends made it after 43 years. Al Napolitano
