A Taste Of Honey : Harry James On The Ed Sullivan Show

from Kver Sarah
I saw the Four Seasons at Freedom Land. One day, my brother who was taking trumpet lessons took me along to see Louis Armstrong. My brother waited around at the stage door and finally Mr. Armstrong came out to see him. Little did we know then he was probably high as a kite. Anyway, when my brother told him he was studying the trumpet, Mr. Armstrong took him back stage to listen to him play. I had to wait outside. He wasn't gone too long (that may have been a reflection of his talent). Not too long after that Harry James played Freedom Land and again, my brother went to see him. However, with Harry James - a renowned s.o.b. - my brother didn't get so much as a how do you do.
