A memory of Steve's father Joe from Richard Karney. Joe had written some songs and think he may have collaborated on some with my father.
Don't remember the year but I was a member of Martin Block's Platter Picker Cllub. He was a DJ on WNEW. This was before Cousin Brucie or Dan Ingram. I remember my club number was 4443. I believe it was a Saturday night and I was up in Lebo's apt., when I called into Martin Block, as a certified Platter Picker, and requested, "Guaranteed For. Life.". I do not remember the female singer's name. I believe within an hour the song was played. First and last time I ever heard that number, which was composed by Joe Leibowitz.
