World War I Draft and The Fourth Ward
I was curious about some of the 4th Ward men listed in the WWI draft a few posts ago. I was able to find the draft cards of many of them. They were mostly of Italian and Greek origin. Looks like they were mostly longshoreman and construction workers-some involved in the building of the subways at that time! Below is a sampling
