Yankees Comeback

from Joe, part of the KV Yankee coalition. Maybe it won't be a cruel, cruel summer
It took A-rod exactly one pitch to hit more home runs than the 3 third basemen the Yankees had in the first 28 games.
A-rod missed 28 games. Nady, the starting right fielder, has been out since the first week of the season. A-rod's back up Ransom is on the DL. Wang, the number 2 starter, is on the DL. Catchers Posada and his backup Molina are both on the DL. As is Bruney, the 8th inning bridge to Mariano, and Marte, the top lefty bullpen pitcher.
With all these injuries and Teixiera batting .190, the Yanks are only 4 1/2 games behind the first place Red Sox.
Injuries usually even out over the course of a season. When the Yankees are healthy, they are the best team in baseball.
The fun is just starting for Yankee fans. Any team stupid enough to write us off in early May, is in for a big surprise.

Spending all my nights,
All my money going out on the town
Doing anything just to get you off of my mind
But when the morning comes,
I'm right back where I started again
Trying to forget you is just a waste of time
Baby come back, any kind of fool could see
There was something in everything about you
Baby come back, you can blame it all on me
I was wrong, and I just can't live without you
All day long, wearing a mask of false bravado
Trying to keep up the smile that hides a tear
But as the sun goes down, I get that empty feeling again
How I wish to God that you were here
Baby come back, any kind of fool could see
There was something in everything about you
Baby come back, you can blame it all on me
I was wrong, and I just can't live without you
Now that I put it all together
Give me the chance to make you see
Have you used up all the love in your heart
Nothing left for me, ain't there nothing left for me
Baby come back, any kind of fool could see
There was something in everything about you
Baby come back, you can blame it all on me
I was wrong, and I just can't live without you

Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Brdige did this song on one of their early albums. Much better than Player because, after all, there's only one Johnny Maestro.
